USW 675 supporting locked out workers in Alma, Quebec Canada.

Yesterday March 31st, local President Jim Norris and Field Organizer Moises Hernandez were in Alma, Quebec Canada supporting and rallying with our locked out brothers and sisters from the Rio Tinto mining company. The rally was very large and successful having union brothers and sisters from around the world rallying along side them. South Africa, UK, Austria, Australia, New Zealand, and US union members and leaders from around the world joined the locked out Rio Tinto brothers and sisters to rally. With support from around the world, and the fact that Rio Tinto was defeated just a couple years ago when they also locked out members from the mines at Boron, California; we believe that our brothers and sisters in Alma will come away in victory against Rio Tinto.

In Solidarity.
